All types of reactions between two slip systems in FCC crystals

All types of reactions between slip systems in FCC crystals are illustrated by model simulations. The primary slip system (long black lines) glides across a randomly distributed, immobile, forest density (green lines). The forst density is such that it leads to only one type of reaction. One can see the formation of the three classcial types of jonctions (short red lines), the Lomer lock, the glissile junction and the Hirth lock, and of colinear annihilations.
